The Quick Care clinic provides walk-in medical care for minor illnesses or injuries with all the resources of the Hospital's Laboratory and Radiology departments. The Quick Care Clinic is located in the Ohio County Family Care medical office building, across the street from Ohio County Hospital at 20 E. McMurtry Avenue.

Services Offered:

A variety of ailments will be treated including cold and cough, ear and sinus infections, pink eye, poison ivy, allergies, school and sports physicals, bladder infections, fever and strep throat, and bronchitis.

Also available will be convenient access for businesses and employees to occupational medicine services including drug screening, pre-employment physical exams, Department of Transportation physical exams, and treatment for workplace injuries covered under workers compensation. Treatment for chest pain, lacerations requiring sutures, fractures, severe respiratory distress, mental confusion, and weakness of extremities (or other symptoms of stroke) need to be addressed in the emergency room.

No narcotics will be prescribed.

Payment Methods:

Quick Care is a lower cost alternative for treatment of non-emergency injuries or illnesses. All patients will be charged for treatment at the time of service. The clinic will bill Medicare and all insurances and your co-pay will apply.

A cash option will be available for patients without insurance (or those with high deductibles who choose not to request the clinic to bill their insurance). Fifty dollars ($50.00) paid at the time of service will cover the cost of the examination. Additional fees will be made for injections or other ancillary services. All major credit cards, checks and cash will be accepted.

All of the Ohio County Family Care offices, Butler County Family Care, and Fordsville Area Medical Clinic have authorized the Quick Care Clinic to treat their Kenpac Medicaid patients. For Medicaid patients assigned to other providers, approval from the patient's Kenpac provider must first be obtained, or the patient can elect the $50.00 cash option.
