Medical-Surgical Unit 
 The Medical-Surgical Unit of Ohio County Hospital is a 21-bed unit. All rooms are private. Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Nursing Assistants provide nursing services 24 hours a day. A plan of care to address specific patient needs is developed in collaboration with the patient and/or primary caregiver. Patients of all age groups with medical and/or surgical needs are cared for in the Medical-Surgical Unit. Patients who require telemetry (heart monitoring, but not intensive care) are also cared for by the nursing staff. The entire nursing staff strives for excellence in giving each patient individualized and safe care, noting the importance of maintaining the patient’s privacy and dignity.
