Emergency Department
The Emergency Department is available to see patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Emergency physicians and registered nurses are also staffed in the department 24 hours every day, 7 days a week, caring for patients with a variety of illnesses and injuries from minor strains and sore throats to heart attacks and motor vehicle accidents. Our staff is trained and certified in advanced courses such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS). The physicians and nurses have completed in-depth education courses on Hazardous Materials both at the awareness level and operations level.
Treatment areas in the department, which are equipped with the latest equipment and technology, include:
Cardiac / Trauma Room
Trauma Room
Orthopedic / Eye Room/Suture
Gynecological Room
2 exam rooms
2 “Fast-Track” areas for minor problems such as colds and sore throats
The department is structured to provide a private area for patient care, thus protecting the privacy of the patients and their families.
